Careers
Qatalyst Carbon is a Singapore-based climate fintech building the digital infrastructure for voluntary and compliance carbon markets. Backed by Standard Chartered Ventures, we connect project developers and institutional buyers across Asia-Pacific using AI-driven due diligence and automated workflows.
We are a lean, fast-moving team. This role is an opportunity to join early, own the finance function end-to-end, and grow into a senior finance leader as the company scales
Finance Manager
The Role
The Finance Manager will own the day-to-day financial operations of Qatalyst. You will be the internal finance lead — managing our external bookkeeping provider (Vistra), delivering clean monthly reporting to the COO and Board, maintaining cash discipline, and ensuring all compliance and tax obligations are met on time.
This is a coordination and oversight role as much as a hands-on one. You will be the primary internal point of accountability for all finance matters, working closely with Vistra to ensure accuracy, and escalating to the COO where judgement calls are needed. As the company grows, this role expands in scope and seniority.
What You Will Do
External Bookkeeping Management
-
Serve as the primary internal contact for Vistra, our outsourced bookkeeping provider — reviewing their outputs, ensuring accuracy and managing turnaround times.
-
Review and approve monthly bookkeeping entries, reconciliations and trial balance produced by Vistra.
-
Coordinate year-end accounts and external audit preparation, liaising between Vistra, the auditors and the COO.
-
Ensure Vistra has all documentation, invoices and bank data needed on time; maintain an organised internal records system.
Financial Reporting
-
Prepare monthly management accounts: P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement, with variance commentary.
-
Produce quarterly Board reporting packs in coordination with the COO.
-
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and inter-company accounts monthly, cross-checking against Vistra output.
Cash Management & Treasury
-
Review cash positions daily and maintain a rolling 3–6 month liquidity forecast.
-
Process payments, manage accounts payable and receivable, and chase overdue invoices.
-
Support the COO in managing banking relationships and treasury facilities.
-
Flag cash risk early — the Finance Manager is the first line of defence on liquidity.
Budgeting & FP&A
-
Maintain and update the company's operating budget and financial model on a monthly basis.
-
Track actuals vs budget, investigate variances and summarise for management review.
-
Support the COO in preparing financial scenarios and analysis for Board and investor meetings.
-
Assist in the preparation of investor data room materials as required.
Tax & Compliance
-
Manage Singapore GST registration, quarterly filing and compliance.
-
Ensure timely filing of corporate tax returns in coordination with external tax advisers.
-
Maintain statutory registers and ensure compliance with ACRA filing requirements.
-
Support any cross-border tax obligations as the business expands into new jurisdictions
Operations Support
-
Manage vendor contracts, purchase orders and procurement approvals.
-
Maintain organised records of all financial documents, contracts and receipts.
-
Support onboarding of employees and contractors from a payroll and HR administration perspective.
-
Assist the COO on ad hoc financial and operational tasks as the business grows

-
Good working knowledge of Singapore GST, ACRA compliance and corporate tax basics.
-
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills — comfortable building and maintaining financial models.

Highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive about flagging issues before they become problems.
-
