Before joining Standard Chartered Ventures, he co-founded BBP, a leading company in the energy efficiency sector, now recognized as one of the largest independent sustainability tech firms in the region.
Poyan holds multiple certifications, including Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM), Certified Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Professional, and Fundamentals of Sustainable Accounting (FSA).

Martalena Nurseno is a seasoned carbon finance leader with over 27 years of experience across Asia Pacific. She has led APAC Article 6 and Voluntary Carbon Market initiatives at Freepoint Commodities and Hartree Partners, focusing on Nature-Based Solutions and energy transition projects. Previously, she spent 18 years in banking at JPMorgan, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, and ABN Amro, specializing in structured finance, derivatives, and strategic investments.
A CFA charterholder, Lena is based in Singapore and is an alumna of the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her expertise blends climate finance, circular economy, and digital innovation, supported by certifications in Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management, Sustainability & Circular Economy Strategy from Cambridge Judge Business School, and Corporate Net Zero Strategy from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
Roshan Padamadan
Roshan F Padamadan, CFA, is the Head of Finance. He also oversees HR, Risk and Compliance.
He is a former Climate Change analyst (HSBC). He has run his own hedge fund and worked in asset management for close to a decade. He speaks over 5 languages. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Managment, Ahmedabad and a degree in Industrial Engineering. He has worked across India, UK, Japan, USA and Singapore.
